The JROTC Orienteering team is a team built to help strengthen stamina and the ability to read a map. Teams of four must get to certain points in the right order as fast as they can to place in competition. The JROTC Orienteering team has placed first in multiple competitions including the 2017 NISD orienteering meet, where a team of one junior and three freshmen received the highest awards of best team of four, best score on the written portion and the best duo team.

On February 12, 2020 the Ronald Reagan High School JROTC Orienteering team participated in the Bexar County Championship at Camp Bullis. Out of the the 40 Male teams, C/Capt. Stephen Hau lead his team to a second place finish. His team consisted of C/PFC Jacob Crawford, C/PFC Corban Tsai, and C/PFC Liam Lecavalier.
